    Angband 4.05 under Mac OS

Running Angband on a Mac there is no way I can see to get the Sub Window screens to remain on whilst playing.
I can do so when playing under Windows 10 on the same Mac under Bootcamp.

Is this some kind of bug or have I not found the pertinent key press?

The subwindows stay open until they're closed individually or you quit the program, just like any other mac window. Yes, it does seem to be bugged so that they don't open automatically as they would in previous versions, but you can just open them yourself from the window menu (on the menu bar, not the in-game menus), or with the cmd+number keyboard shortcuts.

Having got the game running I open the sub windows I need and commence to play.

One keypress, any key, and all of the sub windows then close. I cannot keep them open during the game.

Not sure why you're having this problem. I play on OSX on a MacBookPro, with no such problem. I do have to open the individual sub-windows when I start a new @ and again if the game crashes, but it remembers and opens them just fine if I'm loading a saved game.

The OSX issue I have, but more probably a MacBookPro issue rather than OSX, is that I can't hold @ in place while pressing movement keys to spam my attack blows as I could in Windows.

Are you sure that the windows are closing and not just being hidden? Try clicking "bring all to front" in the window menu.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what would. It sounds like a bug in how your particular mac is configured rather than in Angband itself.

You might try playing with some other version: either the current nightly, or 3.5.1. That might give you a better game experience.
