Or maybe just one of anything? It's a bit silly when the black marketeer goes: "You want a launcher? Sure! I've got 10 launchers for sale today! Unfortunately, they're all short bows of power (+8,+15).

Y'know, I could go with this, for everything except for ammo. It'd put a bit of a damper on getting a stack of Teleportation scrolls, but otherwise for the most part I don't recall buying stacks of non-ammo from the Black Market.

Hell, if the "only ammo" restriction on stacks is too hard to implement, just make it stack size of 1 for everything. Sure it'd be a little silly finding a single Arrow of Slay Dragon, but at least it'd still be potentially useful, unlike in the bad ol' days before the quiver.

In practice it usually should be at least about that good, since it gets pluses from being a {good} item, and then additional pluses for being an {excellent} item.

How much of your Slay ammo comes from the Black Market right now? I can't remember the last time I bought enchanted ammo, frankly. Maybe I don't use archery enough though.

I'm playing 4.0.5 so I'm not sure what's in nightlies now.

I'm not sure what proportion, but I'll definitely buy ammo for late-early/early-mid game. When I can't afford something really nice in the BM, and there's no staves worth buying in 6, ammo is a pretty good thing to throw money at. Heck, if I can afford a few branded shots on my first recall I'll usually buy them because they really help with Wormtongue or early orc uniques.

i haven't seen any of those numbers. 1 life, 2 *healing*. never even seen a stack, if not CCW. i did find a very useful rod of detection, but that's about it.
