For those that play with ASCII graphics, what font do you prefer to use? Do you use the same font for all windows?

Default font, but different size in different windows.

I think OP wants to know which size, since it's basically the only difference between the available fonts (well, some of them share the same size with two or more "alternate" versions, but that's a minority).

Or can one use other arbitrary fonts? I am shivering at the thought of Angband in Comic Sans...

For the X11 front end, I believe the ANGBAND_X11_FONT environment variable should work to change the font. Run "xfontsel" to see the available fonts and the format of the setting. (The weird string with all the *'s.)

I'm running on a 4K display, so I need a huge font, which I get with

        Code:
        export ANGBAND_X11_FONT='-*-terminus-bold-*-*-*-28-*-*-*-*-*-*-*'

In OS X, you can pick any font you want, any size you want.

Yep, you sure can. I've never bothered looking for that feature before because the default setting (Menlo regular 13pt) is excellently readable. Still don't think it's worth spending the time playing with font options, even now that I know I can.
