Bahaha. Oh Thorin, with your entitlement and your trust fund...

    THE Whip of Gothmog.

Now since I've seen him, and I don't recall killing him - has he gone senile over the years and gone and put it down somewhere and forgotten it...?

Maybe I'll find his glasses lying around too...

You find the Depends of Saruman (special, cursed). Provides resistance to water, chaos. Radius +1 light. Aggravates monsters nearby.

    XD

Anyway, yes- I've wondered about that sort of thing, too.

      :-)

Well this latest run is dead and on the ladder now.

Didn't quite make it to Sauron, got killed on DL97 by the Tarrasque.

I think the massive success (for me at least -CL50, DL97, around 80 uniques dead - isn't bad is it?) makes me think I can no longer really claim 'new player' status.

That was a really fun game and a huge learning experience.

Congrats! I absolutely see the value in being a unique-exterminator. The info you get will be a huge help to future runs. "New player" is relative, but after a run like this you've pretty much got the hang of things.

          Thanks.

Yeah that's the way I see it, I can do deep fast diving and leave things be when I've got the info I need. You can't know what they can do without taking them on - unless you probe them - or use spoilers - even then it doesn't give you the feel of them like beating on them, and taking a beating does.
