    All others are mostly useless crap that are duplicated by CCW potions or other, more useful things. Purging might be useful for some cases in early game, but usually you get sustains before you need that.

      I always carry mushrooms of emergency for, well, emergencies.
      300hp of healing is not to be sneezed at in the midgame (and rfire/rcold is a bonus).

        How do you deal with hallucination? I find that really bad for survival. Is the duration now tolerable? It used to last like forever and then some.

        ...reading object.txt clear mind fixes hallucination. That's a combo which I have not ever tried. I need to test that.

        [EDIT] Tested, and Clear Mind fixes Emergency hallucination. That's one thing I have not used before. Thanks for that.

          Yep, either MoEmergency then Clear Mind,
          or MoEmergency then staff of Teleportation
          or even, if I'm fighting a lone non-summoner (say Rogrog) I'll just fight on, popping more mushrooms as needed. It's fun!

            Mushrooms of Terror are also excellent, as long as you have enough ranged attack. Their +10 Speed stacks on top of temporary haste, so you can get a temporary +20. One could "safely" take on Morgoth with only +10 permanent speed with enough Terror.

            I would actually argue that this is broken behavior; they shouldn't stack, but in that case Mushrooms of Terror should be more common than Potions of Speed, given that the former has a negative side effect and the latter does not.
