    Maximizing resistances, damage, etc...

Has anyone ever put together an Excel worksheet with all of the artifacts and used Solver to figure out how to use your collection of artifacts to cover all resists? Or, is there some easy way to do this I have been missing for dozens of years of this game? If I was less busy, I would try to do it myself if someone else has not yet...

Invariably, I get to a decent point like now where I have all but maybe 2 resists covered, then every time I find a new artifact with that resist, I realize I will lose another, which could be covered by something else in my home inventory... And the cycle repeats itself...

There was one a while ago.

100% full coverage is not needed. Make sure you have acid/fire/cold/elec/pois/conf/blind and you're pretty good to go. Avoid monsters that attack your resistance holes.

It is certainly possible to assemble kit that covers every resistance and still has good stats/damage, but it's incredibly rare (and probably relies on Rings of Power and other similarly-rare artifacts). More typically you will settle for good stats/damage and let the less important resists fall by the wayside.

Covering all resists is very easy. Just equip a power dragon scale mail

False. PDSM does not provide resist to nether, nexus or stun.

PDSM is mixture of MH-, Balance-, Bronze- and PseudoDSM:s.

No protections against fear, blind or stun but it does have conf-resist even that BronzeDSM and Bronze Dragon do not exist anymore. Maybe it shouldn't have that.

Maybe we should have nether and Nexus -DSM:s? Dracolich and Dracolisk DSM:s?

It's a big step in making perfect resistance easier, but it's not dispositive on its own.

PDSM, a Ring of Power (preferably the One if you're very lucky), an off-head rStun (e.g., from a cloak or a bow), etc. Perfect resistance coverage is possible, but is hardly necessary and not worth grinding.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

Personally I like disenchantment, too. Confusion resist allows me to drop those teleport staves and thats nice, but given the choice, I´d rather be safe from having my gear wrecked and carry staves or a confusion swap item.

Don't forget that rConf can now be covered with mushrooms of the clear mind.

So very few monsters disenchant from range that I prefer to ignore disenchantment resistance and just use ranged attacks on melee disenchanters. Hell, even the melee disenchanters are pretty rare, outside of some bizarrely early uniques (Mim et al).

I'm with Estie here. I agree that rDisen is not required, but OCD in me hates to get my gear disenchanted. As soon as I get item with rDisen I will carry it, if not as main gear, then as swap. Even if it is aggravating, like Calris.
