Just out of interest: I've found the Trident of Wrath, which seems extremly powerful to me. No artifact I found comes even near to it's power. I'm on ground level 55. Is the ToW so extraordinary or will come even better weapons of mass destruction?

There are a few 'better' weapons out there, but Wrath is certainly a respectable endgame weapon, to be sure.

The Trident of Wrath is an end-game weapon. Other weapons might supersede it depending on your dex and str, but there won't be many.

Thanks for the answers. I just wondered, because it was the first "no-brainer" I ever had in this game (except from good loot in the early phase).

Not many, but enough that you usually find one before end-game.
