    Those blasted RNG's!

So, I dance around level 99 for awhile, and finally kill Sauron. He's not that tough after I figured him out - just read a mass banishment every time he summons, stay away from him and range his big butt, and quaff a healing potion now and then. Occasionally, read use a staff of dispel evil, just to keep him uncomfortable.

I'm marveling at his drops - a Holy Avenger dagger, short sword, and axe. How can an evil character carry all that Holy Avenger gear, without getting burnt?

Anyway, the stairs down opened up, right where he died. Cool. But, I've got treasures to check out before I go down. Apparently, Sauron keeps pet nighmares, drujes, and winged horrors in his private apartments. No problem. Of course, I activate the Arkenstone when I land on each level, and I also use 'find traps doors and stairs' spell often.

ONE OF THOSE PETS CAST CREATE TRAPS while I wasn't watching. So, I've now met Morgoth. I do NOT have enough healing potions to face him. And, I'm about out of arrows. But, the big dummy doesn't want to leave me alone long enough to zap a rod of recall. Of course, there are no up stairs here, since I fell through a trap.

    GRRRRRR!!

I just shut it all down for now. Frustration levels are building up high, and I'm afraid I'll get myself killed.

    Anyway - I'm here!

Who remembers the Lion King movie? "Let me in, let me in!" "Let me out, let me out!" That's me right now.

Ahhhh, so simple after a few hours sleep. Start the game up, and I'm back to the first turn after I fell through the trap door. I zap recall, and walk south - away from Morgoth. After three steps south, I can see Morgoth chasing after me (ESP). When I can't walk any further, tele self, and this time I find myself at the opposite end of the dungeon. Can't see him coming, so I hit rest - and I'm yanked upward.

Time to scrum up some more healing potions, get a bunch of arrows, and GET READY!!
