    End Game for Mage (Charlston V)

    As I approach the end-game for a Mage, when do I know I am ready for the final two fights?

    Here's my current character:



    Estie has said I need to finish leveling to 50, and need to max out my stats, especially Con more. I am going to tweak my gear and repost as I know I can get up to 750+ hp with the current gear I have...

    But for the final fight, what do I want to have with me as far as consumables (potions/wands/staves) for the final fight and how many of each?

    Is there anything else I need to get gear wise?

    I know I have 1600' and 6 levels to get, and I also know I need to finish off the summonable uniques. What else? I htink I need the book that has mana storm in it right? More WoA?

    First of all, you need poison resistance - there are high level monsters who can breath for 800/1500 poison. Without resistance you can get instantly killed.

    You should swap a ring of speed versus a ring with protection poison. 22 speed is pretty fine for everything but the final fight. Of course speed 32 is better - but better to have only 22 and resistance poison.

    The last con steps to 18/200 give the highest con bonus. So i guess you would like to hit that value. And try to max out int (18/***), if you loose some str and dex for that, this would not hurt you, since you kill Morgoth not in melee combat anyway.

    I just see ... maybe use the mail of caspanion +2int, +3con and rPois instead to drop a speed ring.

    As long as you do not have pBlind, better use a lantern of true sight instead of the arkenstone. You already have rLight/Dark.

    You could update a ring of speed +10 versus a higher one if you find (+13 should be doable) and then have the option to replace the other +10 ring by a unique ring with +5speed, several stat boni, telepathy and immunity.

    What do you need to kill Morgoth?
    At least 10 more *healing* potions i would say. And a couple of restore mana potions, maybe 10 and spellbook #9 [Kelek's Grimoire of Power].
    Blondes are more fun!

      Estie made some similar comments, based on feedback so far my Planned changes when I get home are:
      - Swap boots for +3 speed
      - Swap one +10 speed ring for +4 con ring
      - Swap Thalkeltoth for Caspanion (Gain Poison, Conf, 2 Int, 3 Con)
