37 lvl mage wants to dive below 100 with Mordecaine

I found Mass banishment, 3 Banishment scrolls and 3 Aquirenments.

What I lack it is 3-5 deep descent scrolls.

And I have tempting idea to dive to dive below 100 and deeper until i found good vault. Than mass banigh, banish, teleport away pickup some good staff perhaps books and than recall! Then play as normal.

I'm planing the next tactics:
1) first spell when I enter the level would be doors to prevent instakill breathe
2) than I magic map and reveal monsters

If there is nothing whan can instakill I proceed.

I don't plan to fight anything. Just teleport away and banish.

But I'm not aware of monsters on this depth. Are there some monsters which don't sleep or wake up before I can cast doors and examin them.

I have 30 hast with spell but only Superb hiding.

Please advice.

You can't go below 4950' (level 99) without killing Sauron, nor below 5000' without killing Morgoth. Otherwise, your basic tactics are sound and they're a not-uncommon thing for mages to do. The real game-changer will be when you find Tenser's and can start banishing enemies at will.

I don't know which mage spells Derakon expects you to find in Tenser's as mage ... i would say you require Raal's Tome of Destruction for Meteor Swarm to make it from 40 to around 44/46 CL and then Kelek's grimoire of power for Mana Storm, Mass and Normal Banishment.

I believe the OP mentioned Mordenkainen's? (At least in the title) The whole "[create] doors" thing should have been a clue as well...

In my defense, in the old days Tenser's had Globe of Invulnerability.
