Spells forgotten?

Been years, (15+) since ive played angband. I still love this game. But. I ran into a jelly/mold room. Got blasted. My wisdom dropped from 18/20 to 8 and i have forgotten spells or my priest. How do i get them back?? My experience staye the same however.
And also, i cant sell anything in the except unidentifies items.
Thats new.

Unluckily there is no secure way to restore the drained stat at once. You could find a mushroom of Vigor, in late Levels a priest book offers the power to restore stats. There is an orb of restoration available in later Levels. And you could find potions of Wisdom or +Wisdom/-Random Stat which would restore (and increase) your wisdom. If you find an XP drainer you could try to loose a Level if you just leveld and restore the stat by re-gaining your old Character-Level.

It sounds as if you would be in the lower character Levels (<= 20). So a potion or the mushroom of Vigor are the best chances i would guess.

At low levels gaining a new level usually is the fastest way. Just keep killing things.

And next time, if you start losing stats, run away and find a safer way to deal with the threat...which may well mean simply avoiding the threat altogether.

As for selling gear, the "no-selling" option is turned on by default now. In exchange for not being able to sell loot for money, you get much larger money piles in the dungeon. Thus you're free to use your inventory for actually useful items instead of for junk loot that the shopkeepers will (for some reason) pay big money for.

Yeah. I opened a door and got blasted by molds and jellys. Got *confused and they almost killed me. I ran away. Hahaha
