    show hit probability?

    Just a quick thought:
In the main window there is usually some lines / spaces unused below the HP/SP section.

Maybe there could be shown the probability to hit with melee or shooter?
    Something like:

    (target)
    Melee: 68%
    Shoot: 54%
    Range: 1

If you have targeted something it Shows the values for the target, if you look around with 'l' it could Show the values for Monsters looked at (looked) and if you do not look and have no target choosen it could Show the values for the closest (closest) Monster.

I know that the melee % are available in the Monster recall if you look at a Monster. But it wold be easier if you had them compact in the main window as well.

    That sounds great!

As a corollary, I've also always wanted to know what is the particular monster's chance of hitting @.

But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

If we would tell you that, you would find out that AC is utterly pointless, so this has to be kept secret ;-)

Melee hit probability is in the monster recall.

... because it depends a lot on the monster's AC

(You have to learn the AC for it to show up.)

IIRC probing reveals that. The Cat Lord is a good example of monster that doesn't have ton of HP but has so high AC that melee is difficult against it.

I once played bow-only ranger (every kill made by bow), and rings of accuracy made a huge difference. Unlike rings of damage rings of accuracy apply to missile weapons.
