Fun SP bug

So on DL4 at CL7 I found ribbed plate armour. Put it on, it said I was encumbered but my displayed SP did not change. Still 10/10. I tried to cast call light (see screenshot) and it said you don't have enough mana, try anyway? I did the first time and permanently damaged my CON, lol. So yeah, probably my SP is in the negatives due to the armour would be my guess, but the game is not reporting it as such.

Edit: When I put my leather armour back on it changed my SP to 0/12 instead of 10/10.

Edit 2: I put the ribbed plate back on when my SP was 1/12. I then tried to cast detect evil. It said I didn't have enough mana even for that 1 SP prayer. I walked around for a while with the ribbed plate on and the SP display never changed. So the bug seems to be that whatever your SP was on when you put on the armour, it won't move from that.

Could you try hitting ^R (that is, shift-6, then R) after putting the armor on? It's possible that the SP display just isn't getting updated, and the ^R command forces a full-screen refresh, which would "fix" that. Obviously a bug either way though.

I have moved on since, sorry. But does changing levels force a full-screen refresh? Because I did do that and the SP display remained where it was.

I suspect, though I'm not certain, that changing levels only refreshes the dungeon display, not the character stats sidebar.
