    angband dreams?

Does anyone ever dream of playing angband? I had a weird dream last night that I finally realized must have been a 1st person angband experience. I was wandering through underground dirt caverns looking for something, and in the process I came upon a heavily bound wood/metal door that opened onto a scene of singing monsters/zombies (they were more afraid of me) which I closed again, then I triggered a spiked pit trap but was able to move/float above it without falling, looking down below me at the numerous sharp wooden spikes.

And to think I always squelch rings of feather falling in the game...

And you know it's bad when the monsters you see in your dreams look like keyboard letters.
“We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.”

I had some, and not after playing Angband lol.

In fact, game dreams usually come when I've not played the game in question for ages.

I've had a number of dreams playing some Angband-esque roguelike, in full ASCII glory. One time it was real time, I was some mage-type character (or at least shooting ball spells) and went very deep in the dungeon and fought Morgoth (or some similar boss monstger); we blated each other with ball spells until I died.

But then I have a lot of dreams about HALO, strategy games, and WOW, as well, so maybe I'm just odd.

            Angband Dreams.
Every morning, as I wake up.
            Always turn-based and utterly infuriating!

And to Carnivean, thanks for the link - really interesting article and I'm glad I wasn't the only person in the 1990's attempting to fit items in the fridge together in my head!
