Want to play with the "e" pit? Think again...(almost YASD)

Hey look at that, a pit full of "e"s. That looks like fun for my ~clev20 mage, who has stinking cloud and frost ball. Just fire over the heads of the immobile "e"s around the edges at the tougher ones in the middle until they're dead, and then mop up the immobile ones, right? Geez, those middle "e"s keep commanding me to "come hither" which keeps popping me away from the door to the pit. Two, three, four times with the "come hithers" and no chance to cast yet. Well, finally, I get a chance to cast, kill a few weak "e"s, then....another "come hither", oops, this one to a now empty spot INSIDE the pit, -more-, -more-, -more-, ... sinking feeling, ah crap, no 0% teleport, and phase may not save me, super low hit points, so decide to roll the dice, and quaff a cure serious which gets me back almost to full HP. -more-, -more-, -more-, -more-, (red zone), -more-, -more-, ONE HITPOINT LEFT, "commands you to come hither", TO OUTSIDE THE PIT! AAAAHHH I'm free! Cure up, and RUN AWAY. Lesson learned.

Lol! I just experienced something similar - too lazy to wait for -detection to time out, too lazy to stick to the walls, I tripped an Armageddon trap and found myself surrounded by a truckload of scary guys, right in the middle of cavern. Lot's of A's and whatnot's. A long sequence of "Ouch -- more -- Ouch -- more -- Ouch -- more -- ..." followed and I was fully expecting a YASD when I suddenly find myself phased by a tengu. Since the room was totally full with stinking monsters trying to kill me, I had to travel a bit further. Which meant into a corridor out of all monsters LOS! Scary, but 23 hp is more than enough to quaff and teleport. Whew...

This is one of my most favorite, hated, and hilarious scenes of PosChengband, unique(?) to it or any derivative of Hengband.
My best try at PosChengband 7.0.0's nightmare-mode on Angband.live:

If I'm offline I'm probably in the middle of maintaining Gentoo or something-Linux or other.

IMO poschengband needs a "potion of reconstruction" that simultaneously teleports and heals you

....and hallucinates you, similar to the Tsuyoshi potions, but without nerfing your STR/CON!

I've had my life saved by Blink Dogs before in Vanilla -- and conversely, I've had them (or Phase Spiders, I forget) make an encounter vastly more dangerous than it normally would have been. Large numbers of enemies who are all armed with the Teleport-To spell make it rather difficult for you to control your position.
