    A few Noob-Questions

    Hi guys!

My best approach so long - level 43 But a lot of questions arise:

    1. What does the "protect from evil" spell do? In other words: How much damage does it reduce?

    2. With "satisfy hunger" my status is "full" - I was said, this means no malus. Is that true?

    3. I'm level 43 and all stats are on max (thanks to potions). My paladin has 938 health points. All coming levels are only to improve hp and sp, or can I still strengthen my stats?

    4. An enemy had "plasma breath attack 600" due to angband monsters. I have no plasma resistance, so I expected 600 damage, but I think, it has been 700 Can that be?

    5. Is the dropping loot included in the level feeling?

Thats it at first, thanks a lot for any help!

I think this makes evil monsters flat-out miss you in melee some percentage of the time. Not sure how often.

You can't get gorged anymore in 3.5 (and I don't think satisfy hunger ever gorged you, anyways.) "Full" is perfectly healthy.

You can still get stat boosts through your equipment. Most characters with maxed base Con won't be anywhere close to 18/200, which is really where you want to be to max out your HP. Con is generally the most important stat to get to sky-high levels (although anything over 18/200 doesn't help you).

Most of the other stats aren't super important to max all the way out (18/***), unless you have a spellcasting stat or something (wis for priests, int for mages, etc.) Maxing str and dex can help you get more blows with your weapon, but I've never really had trouble with this either.

Yeah, don't believe things about elemental damage. Most of the non-base elements can't oneshot you once you have 900+HP, but they sure can 2-shot you They're also pretty random in their damage range, but I don't know how plasma works specifically. (What the holy heck breathes plasma for 600 in vanilla???)

I think so, but level feelings are literally and figuratively the worst thing ever so I always turn them off. I'm sure someone else can help you on that one

    Good luck!

Evil monsters whose level is lower than your own have a chance to have their attacks completely blocked ("The Black orc is repelled."). It's pretty useless, especially later on when every remotely threatening monster is going to be higher-level than you. You max at level 50, after all. Morgoth is level 100.

      2. With "satisfy hunger" my status is "full" - I was said, this means no malus. Is that true?
We used to have a "Gorged" status that meant you'd overeaten, and hit you with -10 to speed. This has been removed. Satisfy Hunger puts you exactly below where the Gorged threshold used to be.

      3. I'm level 43 and all stats are on max (thanks to potions). My paladin has 938 health points. All coming levels are only to improve hp and sp, or can I still strengthen my stats?
Levels improve your HP, SP, spellcasting failure rates (but as a paladin your min failure rate will always be 5%), access to and total learnable spells, and most of the "skills" on the character sheet (like Fighting, Shooting, Magic Device, etc.).

      4. An enemy had "plasma breath attack 600" due to angband monsters. I have no plasma resistance, so I expected 600 damage, but I think, it has been 700 Can that be?
The damage indicators on the monster memory should be the maximum possible damage dealt by that monster. Breath attacks are always a flat fraction of the monster's current HP, subject to a cap. Plasma breath's cap is, I believe, only 150 damage though. What monster was this?

      5. Is the dropping loot included in the level feeling?
Level feelings are dumb; turn them off. More seriously, no, I don't think they are.

Nothing. Plasma is unresistable and stuns, so that would not only hurt you a lot, it would also directly KO you without stun protection.

Maybe it was poison? Poison maxes at 800 and there are monsters that can do that.

          Thank you guys!
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I just wanted to show the problem, it really might have been poison or something Thanks for all the answers, it makes a whole bunch of things clearer for me.
