Another thing: you're going to have to learn to survive in the dungeon when there are monsters present that can kill you. The dungeon is never safe. Learning to avoid monsters is part of the skillset you need to be able to win.

And keep in mind that some monsters can paralyze you from range with a spell and they don't have to melee you.
