    How to prepare for Morgoth

Ok, so this is my first time at getting a level 50 character and the deepest I've gotten in the dungeon. I've got quite a bit of nice equipment and am wondering what combinations would be best at this point. My casting chance is 0 fail, but I'd like to get some more hit points (and more speed). Any suggestions on changes to what I currently have would be welcome.

Also, I think my body armor could be improved. What should I look for at this point?

Literally anything that gives more AC or is lighter than your pseudo-DSM would be better, since all of its resists are redundant. Simplest would be to find some Dwarven armor with +2 CON, which would max you out on HP. In the meantime you might as well wear Thalkettoth for the +3 speed.

Otherwise, you'll want a copy of Wrath of God, since Banish Evil and Word of Destruction are both valuable spells. You also should have been saving all of your Potions of Speed at home for most of the game and been relying on a Staff of Speed instead; you need those potions for fighting Morgoth. 4 is far too few.

For damage, you have an excellent stash of attack wands which should be able to do all the necessary heavy lifting (combined with casting Recharge when Morgoth isn't around). Stay out of melee; not only do Sauron and Morgoth drain charges with their melee attacks, but you're probably not accurate enough to deal much damage that way. If you run out of charges and still need to hurt things, Orb of Draining, or using your Sling, are your best bets. Speaking of which, you should be checking out any nice sling ammo you find to see what its damage per round is. Your sling doesn't have much +to-dam, but being able to fire 3 times per round is an excellent bonus.

    Good luck!

For other characters (mages excepted), I'd suggest stashing all scrolls of *destruction*, banishment and mass banishment at home for the final battles.

For this guy, I'd definately recommend waiting till you find Wrath of God. As has been mentioned elsewhere, this contains the "Banish Evil" spell, which allows you to teleport away all of Morgoth's summons en masse (except for non-evil uniques, of which the Tarrasque, Huan, Osse and Arien are probably the most dangerous). Morgoth himself will be able to track you down very quickly while his summons with mostly be scattered across the level.

Any armour which gives a bonus to speed. You really want +30 speed for the last battle.

For me +30 speed is more important than any of the elemental immunities or higher resists.

If you put on sting, Thalkettoth and boots of speed +8, I think that gets you to +31, whilst maintaining lower resists, poison, and free action.

While extra CON would be nice, it isn't necessary, especially for a priest who can heal at will.

Just noticed you only have 2 potions of restore mana. I'd prefer at least 10 for the last battle.
