    Can monsters be poisoned?

Maybe someone who is familiar with the inner workings of the Angband source code can answer my question. Can monsters be poisoned like your character can? I'm curious, especially about spells and wands of stinking cloud. I know that in Nethack monsters can be poisoned, or at least bleed to death. But I'm not sure about Angband.

Not in vanilla I dont think, but in variants like ToME2 they can.
I wonder wether in vanilla they could in theory, if there was a poisoning attack/spell.

Stinking cloud, cloud kill, and DSM (green or MH) all have a poison attack.

But that poison attack just does straight damage; it doesn't apply damage-over-time. Similarly, in Vanilla monsters cannot be cut, and "stunning" is more like paralysis for them than the generalized debuff that it is for the player.

I think that answers the initial question.
