    Miscellaneous bugs

Playing a gnome warrior, noticed a couple things. First, an incredibly minor bug where an object in a slot gets auto-id'd (wands, staffs), inventory reorg happens and I get a sequence of messages like so:
    Code:
You pick up a foo wand (p). You identify it as a wand of foo monster. You have a wand of teleport other (p)
It doesn't impede gameplay or anything, but it feels weird.

The next one is a bit worse. I walked into an interesting room with crebain, a bodak, a group of dragons with a mature one, two frost giants and assorted critters. I decide to duck into a room to avoid dragon breath, and after a couple rounds I see the message: the chest mimic is no longer hasted. After this, the chest mimic still displayed as a chest, the chest mimic still did nothing etc.

Gnomes now have the racial ability to ID wands on pickup, so that's not a bug. About the chest mimic, is that the official 3.5 release? I have reported a few bugs about mimics not being properly discovered (potions being shattered, pushing an trampling), but it seems you found another one (mimic being hasted without revealing it).

I don't think getting mimic hasted without noticing is a bug, but noticing that haste wears off is.

Also, when did haste wear off in monsters? I have always treated it as permanent change.

Monster effects is an array of timed events now (since 3.4 or so). This is true for all the current effects (haste, stun...) except maybe sleep, which is still a boolean. I guess this opens the door for more effects (poison, bleeding...)
