    Priests and non-blunt damage

I am a level 33 and found the artificat Cutlass Godricam. What does it actually do? I have checked my fail rates for my spells and did not notice any increase. What am I missing here?

Or are artifacts special in that regard?

Some are special, if they have "blessed" flag.

The penalty to priests for using a non blunt weapon is a to-hit penalty, not one that affects spells.

In fact, if the weapon isn't blessed, you get a 25% fail penalty to all spells, but the penalty is applied before the INT/level bonus is applied, so in the end, most of your spells still stay at 0% fail. To see any visible effect, check the high level spells like Holy Word.
