When you change from one un-ID'd splendid weapon (str +2) to another un-ID'd splendid weapon (str +1), the message tells you that you feel stronger!
(when obviously you are actually weaker).

But you remove the str+2 wepon first, so you're actually stronger.

I see your point, but I still think it's wrong.
Maybe it would go away if the text was 'You feel stronger than normal', because you still would, even if you're weaker than you were before.
