    'Bullroarer' Took

Is slaughtering him avoidable? It seems like a real shame to kill the ol' fella.

You think your char is a good guy? Think again, after all when you kill the M you take his crown and become a king. King of which kingdom?

Sure, no need to kill him

Yeah, all you have to do is run away every time you see him, until you get access to Teleport Away, at which point you can make him run away instead.

Heh, I often feel a bit sorry for him: he's a game little chap, but I can't remember him ever causing me problems. He's certainly not a Smeagol or a Wormtongue.

Then I remember that he often has a decent drop. So I kill him.

I think it's rather touching that you feel so paternal towards him.

If I felt that way I would slap him silly every time I saw him, until he flees in terror. Then I would let him run.
If, then, you meet him for the twelfth time, in a greater vault on dlvl 88, and you take his head off with one sweep of The Glaive of Pain, well he's only got himself to blame, hasn't he?

Haha, I suppose my character will have to re-think his morals.

Maybe we should change him to Ted Sandyman or Lotho Sackville-Baggins.

That's an intriguing idea though- monsters that give a better drop if you can make them run away vs. killing them.
