You don't have a really good weapon--360 damage/turn vs. evil is pretty good but not great. Keep an eye out for big-dice Holy Avenger and Extra Blows(+2) weapons. They often do as much damage as all but the very best artifacts.
Also those gauntlets were poor. Good set of Caestus of power could give you up to 14 points / hit more damage (STR 18/180 -> 18/220 is 6 points, 8 to_dam from caestus base 3 + 5 from ego) for total of 70 extra point / round.
