Question Regarding '~' Command

Is there a reason that under the '~' command (display current knowledge) you are unable to e'x'amine items in the shops?

Just one of those little things that I run into quite often, when trying to minimize my turn count.

If there isn't any reason behind this, other than nobody has really thought about it, can this be changed?

Remember that the shop items there are what was in the shops at the time you were last in town. It's not a messenger service telling you what's currently for sale.

As for why you can't 'x'amine the items, no idea. Probably because implementing the shop memory was hard enough as it is.

I was talking more of when I am in town, trying to minimize turns by not having to run around.

Really not a big deal, I was just curious if this was an intentional detail, or if it was something that was easy to change.
