Just working out (again
) that sometimes, it just isn't worth identifying a wand (MM, light etc) for the number of charges before selling it: the bonus for selling it with a known number of charges is often enough less than the value of the scroll of ID.
Of course the best plan is not to come back to the village with those wands, but if you're running for your life than you bring what you've got!
