Favourite / hated classes?

I mainly play Sangband and I usually end up playing a lot of Priest characters.

I also play rangers, druids and melee warriors fairly often.

I also generally play dunadan, sometimes dwarf (priest), though I have been thinking of playing an Orc priest. Does anyone have any experience on playing one of these?

I love Warriors. I like Rogues. I hate Rangers. I loathe Mages.

I have always tended towards warriors and although I have tried other classes as well, non of my mages, rangers or rogues survived for long, partly because of my inability to keep a decent distance and avoid melee.

hated ones: warrior mage (hopeless), mage (to many books)

Also ninjas (in Entro), because they're so busted. (If *I* can get to level 50 with one, you know it's busted.)

Try NPP Rogue or Brigand; just make sure to carry a sling. They are very fun classes. Or better, try it in Quickband. (Quickband Half-Orc Brigand is a great class.)

I've only ever tried a Warrior once. I love priests. I also love mages, but I can't seem to keep them alive past start gain. Rogues are just plain fun, but again, stat gain seems to be my limit. So yeah. Priests, mages, rogues.

Truth be told, I've never really given assassins and their ilk a try. I generally favor either warriors or your basic wizard type. But being new to Unangband, I'm enjoying Istari. Some classes are shortchanged in some games or overpowered in others, and Istari lets me try out the various skills and see which ones work out better for me. Of course, you could get spoiled very quickly that way, but it's a nice way to get your feet wet on a new game.

Oangband HE Assasin Vanila HE Warrior So generaly HE Warrior-type. HE because they have great everything except for melee which is why i chose warrior-type.

My Favorite class is Jedi, I have a ;evel 60 one in Furyband

I don't like Warriors because of their lack of spellcasting.
Mages are way too fragile for my playing style.

I have won the game with one rogue, one ranger and two paladins. My favorites are mixed classes which is true for other rpgs also.
