Also i would like to hear more about the new NPP quests, can you give some examples?

One is called an arena quest. When you start out, the level is a simple 1x5 corridor. A new monster (or monster group) appears every 5 game turns at normal speed. Every 20 game turns (at normal speed), the level becomes a little larger, and a useful item is uncovered to help you in the battle, if you can get to it. You have to kill 40 waves of monsters (or monster groups) to complete the quest. There is a stairway in the middle if the player needs to bail, and the penalty for quest failure is minimal. The small corridor eventually becomes a pit/next sized room, and along the way there are usually some pillars to provide a little bit of cover.NPPAngband current home page: http://nppangband.bitshepherd.net/

Or you could spend 1 inventory slot and 1% of your current gold total on items that cast identify for you at a much-improved success rate. Just because you can cast a spell doesn't mean you have no more need for consumables.
That doesn't change how boring identifying loads of gear is, though.Comment
