What to use? What to sell? Equip me for Sauron

So I finally got my (save-scummed) priest to level 50, and I'm thinking about facing Sauron for the first time. Someone want to give me equipment guidance?

Also, any tactics hints for facing Sauron? How about Morgoth?

How many of each consumable should I carry? Any artifacts I should keep wandering around level 98 till I find?

    Thanks!

Evil is the only slay that works against Morgoth, so you'll wish you'd saved those seeker arrows. It works against Sauron too, but Sauron also has a resistance hole (though you don't appear to have any brands of that element) - you can look it up if you want the spoiler.

I'm interested to see that your version is marked as dirty - is this because you've changed something and recompiled or because you're playing on OSX?

More CON, more speed. Orome, Elros, Amrod & another RoS instead of Tulkas when you find one. Find a good Trickery & Lordliness and carry Taratol and Turmil (for immunities). +3 Lordliness with ESP is better than Thranduil in every way when you play Dwarf (no need for rBlind), and Trickery rNexus&rPoison&bonus to DEX and Speed allows you to use other cloaks. When you find better weapons maybe also Weaponmastery for rDisen and sust STR & CON.

Every spell in beginners is now duplicated by other books so you can ditch it. You have bad weapons. Too bad for final two fights IMO (though you can prolong them pretty much infinitely with that arsenal of consumables). Keep an eye for good big dice Holy Avenger (any of the three big ones do). Even good MoD westernesse would be worth considering, and any big weapon with +2 extra attacks definitely is worth considering.

Maybe Crown of might for sust STR/DEX/CON. You have restoration spells though, so sustains are less important than they are for other classes. Lordliness gives you sust WIS which is important to keep your WIS above 18/200 (0% failure).

Way more than enough consumables. Tiny fraction of those would be enough with good enough equipment. Keep an eye to ego-items, good ego can be a lot better than most artifacts. BoC HA with <4> to WIS would help you a lot (you could lose the near-useless Ingwe and use a lot better later game non-artifact amulets).

You should also consider carrying Anduril for now (disenchanters are annoying).

I say again: more CON and Speed.

Playing on OSX. (I'm far too computer-illiterate to try fiddling around with code.)

All changed. I'll keep an eye out for the ring of speed, holy avenger and crown of lordliness.

I'm guessing I can toss the following:

        -All the bows but Amrod
        -All the shields but Elros
-All the weapons but Orome, Anduril, Taratol, & Turmil
-All the helmets but Thranduil (and then that, when I find a crown of lordliness)

Is that so, or are some of those that I should be saving because they might combine well with other equipment I don't have yet?

Thanks so much for the advice!

I would keep Bard (at least) for now. Bard does a lot more damage than Amrod, and if you get your CON high enough without Amrod it is better as weapon. Amrod regen can be more useful than just plain damage better shooter though.

Crowns of Lordliness have random ability, so finding one with ESP and +2 or better PVAL can take a while. I also sometimes keep Holhenneth in case I get ESP from other sources (it has rConf, which is important and see_inv which I sometimes find lacking).
