    Lack of status info

I don't understand why one's various statuses (hungry, confused, blind, berserk, etc.) are not listed on the left side of the Angband screen. There is plenty of room there. I actually had a character starve to death simply because the top of the screen messages were so fleeting and because they disappear immediately if you don't notice them right away.

They are on the bottom line.

But they should be on the sidebar instead. The most important bit of status information is your HP total; other important status information should therefore be next to it, since that's where your eyes will be a lot of the time. There's a large distance between the bottom row and the sidebar, especially if you're using a larger-than-normal main window to see more of the dungeon. And at 80x24, the default main window is pathetically small.

Additionally, using 32x32 tiles on my laptop (at full 32x32 resolution), the very bottom of the screen gets cut off. I often play with tiles only 30 or 31 pixels high to avoid this.
www.mediafire.com/buzzkill - Get your 32x32 tiles here. UT32 now compatible Ironband and Quickband 9/6/2012.

When displaying a big tile, dummy chars are queued vertically... but the current code adds one too many at the bottom. There's a fix for that for 3.4.

Yes, we're trying to make sure tiles are playable for 3.4, and I just played a full game with tiles, and they seem like they're in pretty good shape. Any bugs should certainly be reported and we'll try to fix them.

Not for me, they are not. Stuff only seems to appear on the bottom line once in a while, and never stays.
