[3.3.2] Savegame traveled back in time?

I've managed to get to clvl 40 dlvl 51 with my priest, but on the next day after loading the savegame I see clvl 35 dlvl 43...

    How could this happen?

Edit: I think I've figured it out... I must have had another instance of angband running attached to ssh session, and upon shutdown it saved it's progress (clvl 35 dlvl 43), overwriting the later savegame.

    Oh well.

That, or you found the time hounds' secret attack, the fabled (and made-up) "deja-vu attack", which is launched on the player, not just the character, to confuse him/her. It's like the "alter reality" spell, but *too much* powerful

I've dreamed about a Scroll of Future Sight that, after about ten rounds, gives you an option to return to the moment when you read the scroll.

My favorite Rolemaster character in my youth, an Astrologer, had a spell like that. (Or at least my gamemaster allowed me to use the spell like that.)
