    price tweaks for 3.4

I've submitted some small price tweaks for 3.4 mainly for items that only appear in the BM.

The big gainers are rods and wands of TO, and staves of speed/destruction.

The big losers are the (no longer) branding rings, and acquirement scrolls. There are some small tweaks to other items as well. If you think something else is off, please suggest.

This is actually what I consider an underappreciated mechanic of the game:

If you see something that hugely valuable in the BM, it's probably really good... even if you can't really figure out how it's used.

Yes indeed. I recall seeing a wand of Dragon's Breath in the black market the first time I played V, and imagining what that might do for my hobbit if only he could afford it.

(I was also disappointed to find out that you can't use a Rod of Polymorph on yourself. Oh well.)

But yes. I am wholly in favor of keeping some items really expensive in the BM, just to make the newbies ogle like I did... Even if the items turn out not to be so great.

Just think back to that first time you saw Climbing Gear for 100K in the BM in ToME 2.x. I bet you had no idea what it did the first time you saw it...

Well, some of the mystery vanishes because you can inspect items in the BM and they'll tell you exactly what they do. There isn't really anything hidden. Now granted, you may not know why rods of TO are worth so much...

Sure, but in ToME the true impact of being able to climb mountains wasn't obvious... at least not to me.
