    Melee crit average is +2.59 dice per crit, so for 1d7 weapon yor crits will be x3.59, and for e.g. 4d5 it will be x1.65, so, in general crits gives much more for light weapons, also slays give a multiplyer to dice average and flat damage bonus on top of it, so again, dagger of *slay troll* may be better then battle axe of *slay troll*, however minimum number of blows is 2, so e.g. if you get 2 blows with axe(2d8) and 3 with shaber(1d7), you go with axe, but if it is 2 vs 4, you better go with shaber. More or less balanced in general, and keep improving in FAangband .

    Also deadliness have somewhat diminishing returns, you start with +5% per point, but you need +100 points to get +255%, which is maximum.
