I know you have the maximize effect of racial and class bonuses, but I was wondering what is the cap? I have noticed in previous games were equipment goes beyond the level cap, so my question is how can you figure what the absolute maximum for stats are?
How high can your stats go?

Zyphyr is right -- the game doesn't care about anything above 18/220 (which will be displayed as "18/***"). However, you don't get any more HP past, if I recall correctly, 18/200, so that's its effective cap. In either case, you can get even more and more bonuses, but the only effect that you'll get is giving you a buffer in case the stat gets drained.
Your internal stats are tracked from 3 to 18/100, and potions can't take you any further (can't drain below 3, can't increase above 18/100). In maximize mode, your race and class bonuses are then applied to that number, so e.g. a half-troll warrior (innate +7 STR) would max out his STR at 18/170, before equipment is taken into effect. If you aren't in maximize mode, then your max stats are 18/100 across the board; race and class modifiers are applied directly to the stat, as if our warrior had drunk 7 potions of Strength immediately on starting the game.Comment

Is there a summary/quick explanation/equation somewhere (outside of the code) that explains how Magic Device skill affects the damage bonus given when using offensive devices?Glaurung, Father of the Dragons says, 'You cannot avoid the ballyhack.'Comment

Hmmm ... I don't think this is documented anywhere. Another good candidate for help text."Been away so long I hardly knew the place, gee it's good to be back home" - The BeatlesComment
