Close and bash doors with ctrl+direction

Ctrl+direction ("alter grid") is used as a "unified command" to perform several actions on a nearby tile that do not require moving, for instance attacking a monster, digging and opening a door.
This does not include closing a door (you get the message "you spin around" instead), nor bashing closed doors.

I think these two could safely be added to the list. This seems more coherent, and would free some memory in my brain since I could then forget what the heck the key for "bash door" is.
I don't think this would raise any problem - incidentally, if there's a monster on the way, with the "close door" command one attacks that monster, too.

I use Ctrl+direction to attack into squares i do not want to move into. Say I'm clearing a pit or something and don't want to step into it accidentally, then I use it. So I don't like it for closing doors. For bashing doors though I think it would be nice, I can never remember the key for that.

I don't think that works. If you set off a trapdoor or a pit you step in that grid even with ctrl+direction. I think same applies to all traps.

I don't think ctrl+dir should be used for anything but swinging to attack. If there's a monster there you attack, otherwise you 'swing around'. If you also had it disarm traps or close doors, you'd not be able to use that at the entrance to a pit, or fighting monsters near traps (like at entrances to vaults)

If that is going to be the case, can we make it a so that you must use it (ctrl+dir) to attack unseen enemies (whether be they invisible, or while blinded). Then, I suppose, simply moving into something unseen would have to instead result in resting for a turn, and a message "There's something blocking your way.", rather than an attack.

I never liked the notion that you could kill something that you didn't even know was there by just running into it.

I've suggested something like this before. However, it only really bothers me for enemies in walls.

I meant clearing a pit of monsters, not a the specific trap called 'pit'.

I do like Ctrl+dir for tunneling and all that good stuff though, just not sure if i want it to close doors. I rarely do that, maybe I should do it more. Especially since the @ has a telpathic connection to all doors and can sense if they have been opened anywhere on the map.

A pit is a pit, right? Wrong.
