    Nightlies: Identify and a new way of looking at *Identify*

    i like how *Identify* has been removed, i always thought it annoying to have to buy a special expensive scroll to identify special items, but removing it has made me thought that mayhap *Identify* could still be around, but as a mass identify everything in inventory and equipment. about cost and rarity, perhaps it would work well at about 10x the price and rarity as identify. scrolls and staves would work well for it, just like it does for the regular identify. anyway, just a tought, i'm not totally married to the idea, i think it might be a worthy contribution tho

    I'm not following up the development closely - what exactly happened to *Identify* and identification in new Vanilla?

      *Identify* was eliminated in SVN shortly after V3.0.9 was released; to compensate, Identify was mostly boosted to do what *Identify* did.

      I'd have to double-check, but I think the "always know exact charges" from *Identify*ing a wand or staff did not make this conversion. (This would be more useful with V3.0.5 safe recharging, but safe recharging is unbalancing without a proper 4GAI.)
      Zaiband: end the "I shouldn't have survived that" experience. V3.0.6 fork on Hg.
      Zaiband 3.0.10 ETA Mar. 7 2011 (Yes, schedule slipped. Latest testing indicates not enough assert() calls to allow release.)
      Z.C++: pre-alpha C/C++ compiler system (usable preprocessor). Also on Hg. Z.C++ 0.0.10 ETA December 31 2011

        So a regular ID scroll now gives out all powers on an artifact? What about Westernesse?

          Yes, regular ID gives out all powers on all items in SVN V.
