Basically you don't get a distinct feeling for artifacts unless you play with preserve mode off. And one single artifact can't boost the feeling high enough to get a "good treasures" or better feeling.

Well, to be honest, the Phial is only one treasure. If there were no other treasures then the message was technically correct.
