Polymorph in Ironman

Been playing ironman mages, and the main problem I was having was early level consumables. That is until I started using this spell. I find casting it 1-3 times until dlev. 20 is enough to turn monsters into ones that drop items, nagas, priests, rogues etc. I went from feeling lucky with 15 cure serious wounds to having to drop items, from being overloaded. Also seems to help finding the phial, Ive found it the last 4 tries using this method. Hope someone finds this usefull

I think that's just a generally interesting idea to get more item drops. Thanks for the tip.

No problem, makes the early game a little more interesting too :-)

If you think that is fun, wait until you find an item with immunity to fire, a great hell wyrm, and a wand of clone monster.

Hehe, tried that once with lightning immunity, and storm wyrms had a nasty time of it I did.
