    ...I just...

...found a Power Dragon Scale Mail. On DLVL 21.
If you can convincingly pretend you're crazy, you probably are.

PDSM is quite nice, but it's not the be-all and end-all of body armor any more. Awhile back someone took away some of its powers, for reasons I don't now remember: it now lacks pBlind and pFear (but still has pConf, oddly enough), as well as resistance to nexus and nether. And of course it doesn't have any stat boosts.

Still quite useful at dlvl 21. ^_^

Oh, sure. It'll serve him well for a decent chunk of time. It just used to be a complete no-brainer, and now it isn't. Though it may be more common than it used to be too; hard to say.

Probably because ordinary PDSM did beat Bladeturner.

I am pretty sure this means your character is going to die a horrible death in the next few turns. That's pretty much what good drops seem to mean to my characters.

Yes, she died a few turns (actually levels) later, but still, a good run.

Now, I found Steel Shod Boots of Speed +9. 950'. Off Wormtongue, actually, who lately seems to drop thousands of awesome things.

I like early character deaths, seriously, RNG. I like them a lot. You probably don't want to cause things I like.

                [Edit]
Okay, it is mocking me. So far, I have found roughly three boots of FA, and not a single non-foot source thereof.

Mixed drops for me couple of mages ago found boots +9 speed at dlvl level 10 from novice fighter. then my first ever boots of elvenkind +5, at dlvl 20 but haven't seen any speed rings or boots, on last 2 guys who made it to level 90. Gotta love the Rng.
