    Saving Throw

I'm sure this is already listed elsewhere but I can't find it...

What does a 100% saving throw actually do for me?

You will never get confused, afraid, blinded, paralyzed or slowed by a spell. However, you will still get confused from monsters that melee to confuse or breathe chaos (provided no rchaos). You will still get blinded by monsters that melee to blind or breathe dark or light (provided no rdark or rlight). And (i think) you can still be paralyzed by monsters the melee to paralyze, or slowed by inertia or gravity breaths.

So basically, in melee, the only benefit is fearlessness?

I'm trying to think of the melee confusers... it's basically titans, isn't it?

I think I once read that you cannot be paralyzed with a 100% saving throw with the exception of traps, I believe you do get a saving throw on paralyze but don't count on it. It was probably older V or another variant entirely.
100% saving throw is amazing because it prevents an attack most of the deeper monsters that does damage, blinds you, confuses you and slows you among other things. Try to get it if it isn't too hard, not viable etc.
As a general rule of thumb, anything that has a animation when you set a base delay you will get a saving throw against and you will resist.

Melee confusers are nasty, but melee blinders are plain evil. No-one remembers those. It's one of the spiders(in O at least), I think gabriel(V, not O, because O doesn't have angels) and one of the eyes. In melee the benefits are resistance to about half of the spells monsters throw at you, increased safety from blindness, confusion and other things.

So 'basically titans' it is, then.
