    Breeders breed too fast?

In a git version from a couple days ago, lice and such seem to multiply out of control within only a few turns. Just walk into their field of view and you're suddenly swarmed. Did someone tweak these critters?

Not as far as I'm aware - the basics of breeding haven't changed since 3.1.0. Anyone else see a difference here?

Hmm. Lice are nasty, but worm masses aren't. It looks like this is because the lice are faster than a +0 character. N/M.

Seems kind of odd to have faster breeders on the low levels, though it's more annoying than actually troublesome. Then again, I'm used to ToME2, which makes a total joke of balance at low levels.

I asked the same question a couple of weeks ago, having had to abandon a couple of early vaults on account of lice infestation. Perhaps they're no nastier, but I'm sure they're more frequently seeded in and around vaults.

I'm probably not best situated to offer an opinion, however, because historically I've nearly always been a ranger, so I generally have Stinking Cloud pretty early in the game. My recent bad experiences have been with a pre-OoD Paladin.
