    Bug: You have found - gold pieces worth of adamantie

    Just killed a 7-headed Hydra while blind:

    You are blind.
    You burn it.
    You miss it. <2x>
    You burn it.
    You have killed it.
    You cannot see!
    You blink and your eyes clear.
    You are no longer poisoned.
    You have found 305 gold pieces worth of silver.
    You have found -29536 gold pieces of adamantite.

    Savegame attached.

    I know have -22624 AU lol

      Wow!

      Seems like an overflow error to me

      There is a way to create gold in debug mode if you want to try to fix your character...
      linux->xterm->screen->pmacs

          Played 5 more minutes, and im up to -7k now

              Bug is worse than I thought. I cannot buy from shops now.

              Shopkeeper says
              Buy how many? (max -9)
              (number varies)

              And no matter what number I enter, I buy nothing.

              shit. will be hard to live without ?WOR

              update: That was because I had - AU! I did one more dungen trip, got myself to + AU, then shops was ok again.

                  It makes sense - the stores don't give credit.

                  Can anyone reproduce this bug with negative gold piles?

                      I reported the same or a similar bug here and on github several months ago but it was supposedly fixed. I believe i had attached a save file on my post as well.

                          I'm thinking that this bug may have been related to the monster inventory crash bug somehow. There is already a fix in place that should prevent gold overflows, and when I modified my copy to make all gold drops huge, I was still unable to reproduce the error with hydras. So let's hope that this bug is squashed
