EDIT: By "here" I mean "on Ook" not necessarily this thread.

    Thanks!
So, one key I find is keypad 5 without numlock on doesn't do anything at all. It is not recognized as a keypress. In older vanilla it did "stand still, do nothing" just like it does with numlock on now.

[EDIT] Seems to be nightly edition problem, it works in 3.2.0.

This program might help diagnose these issues for people on Windows:

I'm not sure how well it works (I don't use Windows) but it might be a good way to know what key Windows thinks is being pressed. I think there are similar programs for Windows and Linux.

Timo, I think others have seen this issue as well--I will try to dig up a keyboard and reproduce it (I mostly use laptops these days).

I seem to remember that shift+5 did search in place. Now its run, and ask for direction.

Also (my other thread) key above tab used to bring up information menu. Seems like its hardcoded to ~tilde key, which are on the opposite side of the keyboard next to enter.

't' does not work in some of the option menus. Or if you prefer: The options menu is not consistent.

The 4 first menus (Interface and display, Warning and disturbance, Birth, Cheat) all say that they accept the 't' command (for toggle option), but they don't, [Enter] is used instead.

In the Subwindow display menu both 't' and [Enter] works, but 'y'/'n' does not.

Unsquelch, K, is not documented in the help.

I've also run into the numpad-5 issue, with nightlies only; Angband does not register that any key at all is being pressed, so the issue cannot be avoided through manually mapping 5 to ,.

          Edit: Non-numpad 5 still works.

The {[]} keys don't work on german keyboards with the sdl version. I just get 7890 instead. This make the autoinscription menu unusable.

When I edit a keymap typing [ gives \[ but typing ] gives only ].

The second bit is right: only opening square brackets need to be escaped.
takkaria whispers something about options. -more-
