Restarting generation process: not enough boots

I've been getting a funny message when I start new characters lately. I don't think it's happened before this week but maybe I just wasn't paying attention. I recently changed options to randarts and no selling but aside from that I can't think of anything I'm doing differently. Is this a normal message or is something going wrong? It says "Restarting generation process: not enough boots."

I believe that you started a randart game, it did not generate enough boot artifacts, so it had to re-generate again. I believe it iterates until it hits some threshold of artifacts per item type.

Ah, I assumed the game wanted to guarantee basic +0 armours in the shop at start, but I never checked.

The next version of the randart generator will do just that.

I'd assumed they were shown because we're running the nightlies, and would be hidden in any production release. But if they're not providing useful information then there's little reason to generate them.
