    I forgot to mention that despite my hatred of OFID_TIMED, quality squelch would in fact work a lot better if stealth did not count as obvious, and IGNORE_FIRE and/or IGNORE_ACID were changed to be obvious. "The foo is magically pristine." Doesn't make much sense, but at least then Permanence and Preservation would move to the top category.

      Both permanence and preservation have Hold Life. That could be obvious. "you feel you have better control over your life force" or something like that.
