Rod/store sleeze (?)

I used a rod, it was still charging. I sold it to the store, and noticed that it did not say (charging). I bought it back from the store, and it was charged up. Since I had sufficiently high Charisma, there was no difference in buying/selling price, I got the rod charged for free.

Is this a bug/sleaze/cheat?

The nightlies have tweaked buy/sell ratios so in the future you won't be able to get free recharges that way. In the meantime, I don't see it being a huge issue; it's not like there are Rods of Acquirement. The most abusive opportunity is probably Rods of Healing, but you could always just rest several thousand turns in the town if you wanted to and didn't care about turncount.

I actually wouldn't be opposed to a feature that recharged all rods and artifacts in the town for a nominal fee. As Derakon says, the only differences between this and resting are turncount and boredom.
