    "It regenerates quickly."

Just curious: Got "It regenerates quickly" in my monster memory for a skeleton troll after using a rod of probing. Is using probing on a monster the only way to learn this, or can a character learn it by observation?
If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then why are beholders so freaking ugly?

It looks like probing is the only way to find this out, there's no call to learning flags when monsters are regenerating.

We could add this in though, it wouldn't be too hard. Give the player a chance to notice monster regeneration for each wounded monster is in sight. Of course this makes such a minimal difference in gameplay, it would just be for consistency sake.

I didn't even know that monsters regenerate at different rates. Is it a big difference?

I generally assume it applies to all uniques. They can get a significant chunk of health back if you have to 'port away from a fight to rest.

Twice as fast as usual. Normal regeneration rate is 1% of max HP per 1 normal speed turn.
