Well at least I feel that way.

My wife has been hearing me mutter about Angband since the bug bit me again a few weeks ago. She finally said that she wanted to try it this week so I set her up with a troll warrior in V3.2 on the PC earlier today...

She is now CL20, found Boots of Speed +10 and a broad axe of Westerness on DL17 and is diving like a mad woman.

She says its beginners luck to suck her into the game and is mildly annoyed at me for finding her a new addiction.

The RNG is strange. In my recent winning game, I think I had Carlammas, Elessar, & Necklace of the Dwarves all before I even saw my first amulet of Weaponmastery or Trickery. I at least had Carlammas before weaponmastery.

I have seen a lot of beginner's luck like this... I think the first serious game of 3.1 I played I found Ringil (hadn't played V in many years before that).
