    ID by use bug

    Unidentified steel wand in Feb 12th nightly - aimed it at several townspeople, they all fell asleep. Still listed in my inventory as a steel wand {tried}. Didn't try an ID scroll on it, just sold it and then it was id'd properly, although at a very low price.

    With the selling changes I can't tell anymore what might be worth ID'ing prior sale. At the weapons store I am getting about 1/5th of the sellback price. So that wand of sleep monster would have cost me 123 on an id scroll, and i guess sold for around 200 if known? Wasn't worth 80 gold to mess with. Is that 1/5th a reasonable guess at what was done? Or maybe 1/4 if I had max Charisma?

    I think I remember reading that the amount of money shopkeepers will give you for loot was decreased across the board recently in an attempt to keep money relevant for longer. That would end up reducing your margins on selling wands.

    EDIT: I can confirm that Sleep Monster wands don't seem to ID on use.

    EDIT 2: likewise wands and staves of Confuse Monster. It seems likely that all status-imparting items can't be ID'd by use.
