    colorless

    When I run angband under gnome I got colors but when I do alt-ctrl-F2 and run angband it is colorless.
    how come please?

    actually I take that back, there are some colors. but it is not as colorful as running under gnome.
    any thing I can do to make it even more colorful?

        I'm guessing that when you press alt-F2 the display changes to the terminal console? If yes, then that's as many colours as you can get as far as I know. The terminal console supports only 16 colour mode.

          I guess life was hard back in those days only 16 colors, not toilet paper squar weels...

            Well, you can try playing around with the framebuffer, but I never really understood how to get it to work in the terminal, so I gave up after a while and can't give you any advice on that.
